WHAT DOES NINA CONTRIBUTE TO THE DIKE IMPROVEMENT ON TEXEL?

The client (HHNK) has its say
Combinatie Tessel is improving the dike on the eastern side of the West Frisian island. The client is the Dutch water control board 'Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier’. They attended the NINA Kick Off and Experience. And they share their lunch break with Frank van Vliet (read his blog). What do they think of NINA?

Contract manager Robbert Brandt: “We are very satisfied with how attention is directed to safety: everyone is involved and everyone can give their opinion. When the question of ‘does safety go above everything?’ was posed during the Experience, I was the only one who said ‘no’. Why? In real life you always have to weigh the pros and cons. For safety’s sake, it would probably be best to evacuate the whole of Texel, but we can’t do that. This stimulates a discussion, which is very valuable. NINA gives you the opportunity to express a collective feeling, which has a positive effect on the atmosphere at work.”
